Welcome – September & October 2025
Welcome to the September & October edition of Stoughton Pages! This issue is full of stories, updates, and ideas to inspire you as we move into autumn — a season of fresh starts, new routines, and, dare I say it, the first hints of Christmas on the horizon!

We begin with Guildford Borough Council, who are highlighting this year’s Guildford Heritage Open Days 2025. It’s a wonderful opportunity to discover more about our town’s history and
hidden treasures.
There are celebrations too, with the Guildford Flower Club marking an impressive 70th anniversary. From long-standing traditions to new challenges, the North Guildford Food Bank share their life-changing story, reminding us how community spirit really does make a difference.
Education and growth are also a theme in this issue. Ellie Dudley offers her tips for making this school year a success, while Home Counties Carers explore the positive impact of Hatha Helpers in Surrey. At Emmanuel Church, Rev Thom Jee reflects on fresh starts and new beginnings, with plenty of events planned for the coming months.
We’ve also highlighted the Government’s Boiler Upgrade Scheme, which could benefit many local households. And of course, the Worplesdon Garden Club are back with their much-loved seasonal hints and tips, perfect for keeping your garden flourishing into the cooler months.
As always, we hope you enjoy this edition of the magazine. We’ll be back in November & December — when, incredibly, Christmas will already be around the corner! Until then, have a wonderful autumn in Stoughton.
